Over the past few years, it was really great to work with these talented artists:

John Coinman - Songs From the Modern West

From collaborative projects with Kevin Costner, John Densmore (The Doors), & Michael Blake (writer of Dances With Wolves) to his music accolades, including Best Songwriter 1999, & Best Performing Artist 2000 in Tucson. This stellar artist will continue to make himself heard in the Americana and Triple A scenes.

This country CD garnered much attention in press & radio.  Spartz was featured in R&R Magazine along with many other national news sources.  Radio airplay included XM Radio’s America channel, Music Choice TV & Americana Highway (WIVK), just to name a few.  How can you go wrong with award winning artists like Billy Lee Riley, Jonathan Edwards, Bobby Vee, Todd Fritsch & Big John Mills playing on it?

Alastair Moock—Let It Go

Alastair took a quick break from touring to welcome his twin babes into the world!  He’ll be back out on the road, soon.  Check out his website for the full schedule . . .

Stan Swiniarski

Stan Swiniarski released his sophomore album, "Ain't That Love" in October 2005.  His name may be familiar to you from all of the awards he keeps winning:  2005 NHCMA Songwriter of the Year, 2005 Grassy Hill Kerrville Folk finalist, 2005 NACMAI CD of the Year - Country, 2004 Mountain Stage NewSong Festival finalist, WOKO-FM 2004 New England Country Star Search finalist, as well as 2004 NHCMA CD of the Year & 2004 NHCMA Songwriter of the Year!  You'll understand why, when you hear this CD!!

“I have made it quite clear in my reviews how some country music just grates my nerves, you know, the mainstream overproduced more-pop-gloss-and-polish-than-anything type of so called country music? There are not too many artists that are the real deal anymore…with the exception of down to earth folks like Stan Swiniarski. Call em’ what ya like, the Polish cowboy, indie artist, the bottom line is that the man is talented, and he sings and plays from the heart.” -Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck of Muzik Reviews - www.muzikreviews.com

Outlaw Family Band

Look what the 'Windy City' blew onto the music scene!   Hard to describe, but their eclectic sound and somber, if not macabre, lyrics will please any listener looking for something really different. These guys are RED HOT - to see and hear!  If bluegrass and classic rock had a baby, the Outlaw Family Band would be it.  Check their website to see when they’ll blow through your town!!

"A folk-rock/country-grass group from Chicago, the Outlaw Family Band works banjo against electric guitar and drives the rhythm on its just released self-titled debut album.  The record comes from Slackjaw and was recorded by former Wilco guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Jay Bennett at his Pieholden Suite Sound Studio.  That pedigree ought to be enough, but the nine-song disc delivers regardless of who produced it, with balladry, instrumentals and some serious rock'n'roll attitude underlying everything."   —L. Kent Wolgamott, Lincoln Journal Star (NE

Ansty McClain

Released in October 2005, "Time Sweetened Lies" is the debut solo album from the lead singer of the hilarious, but seriously talented, Trailer Park Troubadours!

All original songs, featuring the talents of Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac), and Bobby Cochran (Steppenwolf)!  As well as, Australian guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel, National Fingerpicking Champions Pat Kirtley & Pete Huttlinger, world-renowned flamenco guitarists Ruben Romero & Edgar Cruz, multi-instrumentalists Matt & Pauly Zarb of Australia, Jimmy Jackson, Antsy's cousin Flem, and more!

Check Antsy’s website for upcoming dates & venues.

Michael O'Neill - From the Beginning

I worked his “From the Beginning” album.  The press did many reviews, and he was featured in several regional papers.  He spent much of his time touring & playing rodeo shows across the the U.S.  His new CD “Who’s Bad Now” was produced by Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (Frank Zappa, Elton John, Beck, U2, Bon Jovi, Brian Wilson & Michelle Branch), & could be described as rockin’ Americana/ alt-country album. Check it out on his site!

"He's toured with U2 and Stevie Ray Vaughn, written with Bob Weir and Steve Cropper.  He's lived the dream and survived the nightmare.  'From the Beginning' is a testament to fresh starts and a wisdom that comes with age."  -Mark Wehner of Americana Tonight

Jim Wilson—This Old House

Talented singer-songwriter Jim Wilson released his last CD, This Old House, on Ringo Records in Memphis, TN.  Distributed by Select-O-Hits, of Memphis, This Old House was released in September 2005.

One of the best kept secrets in the Memphis music scene, Jim Wilson is destined to launch out of regional obscurity.  This Old House is the long awaited follow up to Wilson’s Simple Things (2001).  Weaving fantastic stories with his skilled hands and great voice, Jim uses a variety of influences to create rich songs about love, loss and redemption.  There’s enough diversity in the music and clever lyrics to please even the most discriminate musical tastes.  Check out this CD!

Tom Gillam—Shake My Hand

James Mulliniks-Beavers—Sinful Tunes

Jimmy solely financed and released this album.  Because of his limited budget, few people got to hear this Texan’s CD, but it’s honestly one of my favorites.  Jimmy can write tunes so well, it oughtta be a sin.  No fooling, this roots music CD is GREAT!!!  Check out the clips on his site, and see for yourself.

The Believers—Crashyertown

Craig Aspen and Cynthia Frazzini of The Believers have toured across the U.S. & Europe to play original hits from their critically acclaimed album "Crashyertown."  Their powerful voices blend together to create a sound that is exclusively their own.  This "American Gothic Meets Amazing Grace" duo cover vast musical ground, including swing, honky tonk, bluegrass, and rock, in their distinctive indie Americana world.  Check their website for clips, & tour info.

Todd Thibaud—Northern Skies

Thibaud was raised in Vermont, and moved to Boston in 1987.  After fronting The Courage Brothers, Todd decided to venture out on his own.  Over the past few years, Thibaud has received praises of music reviewers from No Depression, The Boston Globe & The Boston Herald, just to name a few.  This release through 95North Records was fantastic!  Watch his site for his new release!

The Melroys—Self-titled debut

UPDATE:  The Melroys lost their lead singer, songwriter & guitarist Randy Leiner in February 2005.  He was a tremendous force in The Melroys, and will be sorely missed by his friends, family & fans.  Click here for the full story:

Shocked & saddened by the sudden passing of lead singer and guitarist Randy Leiner.

The Melroys will continue on - in Randy's honor - and will soon release a new album.  Watch their site for details about the rockin’ CD “Walls Will Fall”!

Matt Angus Thing—Political Pop

Grammy nominated Atomic Productions selected a great group of musicians to create the last CD, including Levon Helm (The Band), and the Harlem Gospel Choir singers!  The Matt Angus Thing is a dynamite roots-rock act that infuses R&B/gospel/pop/country into their original songs, and makes fans the old-fashioned way . . . they earn them.  Lead singer, Matt Angus teamed up with Bob Dylan’s band for his NEW solo album.  See his website for more details.

Knut Bell—HonkaHillaRockabilly

Laurie Joulie of Take Country Back Magazine named this CD
#1 in her Top 10 of the year!!

"To say that Knut Bell and the boys are quirky is an understatement.  Even though they're from Seattle, the obviously Johnny Cash-influenced band captures a distinctly Texas-ized sound somewhere between Junior Brown and Dale Watson, then adds its own finely-crafted spin for a serious product that doesn't take itself seriously.  I've never been much of a rockabilly fan, but there's something about the less-is-more purity of 'HonkaHillaRockabilly' hit me just right.  Good album." - Don Chance at the Times Record News (Wichita Falls, TX)

Greg Hobbs—Threats & Promises

This young singer-songwriter from Canada knows how to write tunes that will make you laugh & cry.  His folksy album was independently released back in 2004, but is timelessly cool.  So check it out, eh?  Visit his website for clips, reviews, & tour info.
